So Vista is comming, but what version do we buy?You see Vista is comming in 6 flavours ➡
Windows Starter 2007
Home Basic
Home Premium
Business
Small Business
Enterprise
Ultimate.
Plus another 3 versions with Windows Media Player removed (the good old EU to blame for that 🙄 )

So which one is for you ?
Well I would forget the Home Basic version as it only supports 32bit and can only address 256mbs of ram (makes Win98 look good) 😂
At the other end,Ultimate can address 128GBs of ram and 2 CPUs
Ultimate has it all, well not quite all that was promised 🙄 and each lower version will have some part of the Ultimate version missing(the lower you go,the less you get)

All the bits that were originaly planned for Vista but have been left out, will now in Vienna (originally planned 2007/8 but pushed back untill 2010/11

Good old XP,Windows longest lasting OS(before being replaced 😉 )

I used Linux for many years. Very good, but no Flight Simulator, so that's out. Crying or Very sad

Why a different PC ?
Why not use a different partition on your H/D ,and cut XP back to the bare minimum,no SP2 no nothing, just the Windows OS to run FS

Now you got me thinking Umm...

I dont like partitions. Its the same hardware at the end.Thats the only reason. Dont Know

The set up will be exactly what you said.Nothing more.

Maybe it will be born to my next upgrade, planing around next Christmas...
