Hi peeps!
I am planning to buy a digital camera but I am not sure what one I want.
I would like it for plane-spotting therefore taking detailed pictures of aircraft.
By saying this I would like one with a good zoom and one that shows good detail and quality in the pictures. 😉
I live in the United Kingdom and have been looking at my local stores' cameras that they have on their websites
I need to pick one ONLY on the two pages I gave you as I am very limited on pocket money 😉
If anyone has any recommendations from that list, it would be very helpful 😀
Mike 🙂
Nothing more or else than a Canon. ➡

how good are you at photography? simply you will want the biggest zoom you can get. the best zoom and price comes in with digital slr [b]style[/b[ cameras. take a look at the minolta dimage z6 - that's my camera. it has a few annoying points, but the photo quality and consistancy is excellent at this price.
i am also impressed with the panasonic fz20 - it has very good point and shoot qualities, yet many advanced features too. it's very easy to use also, but pretty heavy due to the large lens.
i use digital cameras all the time so if you want to ask me pm me - i've probably used it 😛
Ald do get good digital cameras in (yes I know, Aldi)
Unfortuneatly there only in once or twice a year
well if you want a good camera with alot of zoom your should just get a dslr. i got my nikon d50 last week and the lens that came with it is about a 3.5x zoom which isn't very much, but i bought a 70-300mm zoom lens and that should cover me. but the nikon is probably the best bang for the buck. i love mine and it only costed $660 with shipping. and another thing is your skill in photography. if you just want a camera to shot in auto mode the whole time the you might not want an slr because they can do so much more. if you have any other questions ask them here or pm me if you want, and i recomend you look at this website for camera reviews.
EDIT: check out this camera it looks pretty good ➡

I'd recommend the Kodak Z740. Its a little more money than the cameras on those pages but its got a 10x zoom 😳 and very good image quality 😉
...It's also got a range of manual features which come in handy 😀
😀 😀 😀
I recommend the Canon EOS 30D but it's expensive. Have a look at www.cnet.com they have reviews and prices of a large number of electronic items that will help you choose a model with a price within your budget.

Ok thanks for the replies peeps 😀
However though I did state that I would only get one on the two pages I gave you.
Are any of the ones of the two pages I gave you any good? 😕
I think with point and shoot digicams you get what you pay for Mike....if you've got the money, the most expensive one on those pages is probably the best one 😉
The Canon EOS 350D that's on your list.

👍 👍 👍
I think the pages he wanted us to look at were the initial ones provided with the link. I don't think he meant pages 2,3,4 etc...just page 1
Might be wrong 😉

Of those on the pages you specified, I'd go with the Nikon L4. It has a nice size LCD screen for composing your shots and usdes SD rather than XD media so you can get more storage per dollar/pound/drachma/lire/sheckel.
Ok Thank You for your recommendation Crash 😀 😀
nikon l4 is the best there
Ok I might get it.
I would uase it for plane spotting at Gatwick and if you know where the gate is where you plane spot round the back of the Runway i will be taking shots from there.
Would I get good quality if the distance from the aircraft is about 50 to 100 metres?
