Need the 'map' on a seperate file

After adding the realistic terrain the realistic landclass and such to my home area (Vancouver island) I found of course the water, mountians, heavey vegetation to be slowing it all down with the new add-ons. This I expected. However now when I want to fly a simple vfr flight using low altitude vors and open the map it freezes the program. Completly freezes it.
I can fly around okay with only the odd jerk however as soon as I open the map to check my navais It freezes. I won't tolerate that. is there a place I can download the fs2004 map with nav aid that can be run seperately of fs9?
