Application development using Flight Simulator 2004

Ravishankar Guest

Hi

Is it possible to develop stand alone applications using the Microsoft Flight Simulator? I understand SDKs are available to develop dials, scenery, etc, but am not sure whether I could develop stand alone exes using these SDKs and the Flight Simulator

Thanks
Ravi

Here are the MS SDK's and the GMAX tools are on disk #1 of the Flight Sim.

You can also get Custom Panel Designer at http://www.abacuspub.com/ .

Hi

Thanks...

What I would like to do is to develop an instrument panel using the gauges tool kit (of Flight Sim) and link up with my own driver code to drive the instruments and deploy the application so developed as a stand alone application.

I need clarificication on whether such an application can run without the Flight Sim

I wonder whether the GMAX tools would help be helpful in this approach.

I'm not at all well versed in the designing "game". We do have some designers that belong to the forum, when they come along I'm certain that they will be able to answer you.
Meanwhile we can hope that some of our other members can help.
Good luck, sounds interesting.
