Actually, it is back in the paint hangar. I forgot to change the color of the upper side of the right wing tip asnd to remove Antonov's telepone numbers. Rolling Eyes

CG, I like the captures of that beast your throwing around the sky Thumbs Up! what does it sound like with those 6 monsters at full throttle Question

Unfortunately, the sound is mediocre. I think I will alias it to an Ilyushin I have which sounds really gutsy. Or mybe I'll alias it to the Concorde's sound. I am also looking for a really good panel to use.

My next fantasy project is to repaint a Concorde in Omega-Air colors. Shocked

Great shot. Have you ever seen that beast in real life?

Unfortunately, I haven't. It would have been very interesting to have seen one. I don't think I would want to fly in one. While the tail is what makes the plane look unique, I am not sure it is structurally the best it can be. The huge horizontal stabilizers with vertical stabilizers far from the centerline of the aircraft, has got to produce a lot of torque in turbulent weather.

ive never been able to get that huge thing to take off, even on the longest runway i could find Embarassed

Reduce the cargo and fuel. Also, trim it up a bit. If you are running out of runway and still can't leave the ground, trim it up a bit more, but when it is off the ground, make sure you don't have the nose too far up.

Sorry to disapoint you, but I forgot that I uninstalled the Concorde. I didn't really like it. At FL600, the scenery is very uninteresting.

Here are a few more screen shots of the An-225, including tone of a panel I found for it on Avsim.

By the way, I did some serious analysis of the An-225 and discovered that the aircraft.cfg is seriously screwed up, which is why most people can't get it to take off. I also discovered that climbing to 20,000 ft and flying 400 NM uses less than 2% of the fuel. If that is the case, it would have a range o 20,000 NM on full tanks, which is absurd.. You can take off fairly easily with a light payload and only 30% fuel and still have a range of 6000 NM. I will try to rework the aircraft.cfg and make it available for those who want it.

Beautiful shots, CG.
That yoke looks a bit like a horseshoe, though! Laughing

Cool

Shift<some number> removes it. Laughing I've never understood why developers put yokes on panels. All they do is block the view of other things.

Ditto. I've seen very few good-looking yokes.

Very nice shots Thumbs Up!

I'm looking forward to your re-worked version of the Antonov .cfg file - I've yet to come across one that is realistic. Shocked

The original aircraft.cfg is a modified 747. The weight to lift and power ratios are wrong, although the plane gets to overspeed quite fast. It turns fairly well. It lands fairly well and responds to the spolers well. When landing, don't hit the brakes before the nose gear is on the ground or you will lose the nose gear. The gear won't come down unless you are practically at zero throttle.

There are lots of things to fix. That said, I am beginning to enjoy the plane. BTW, I also found a good sound set for it in Avsim.
