Just some questions

SK1209 Guest

Hello, I just have some questions.

1. What does "Localizer Level Flight" mean?

2. When are you supposed to turn off the passenger signs after takeoff and when are you supposed to turn them on again?

3. In the real world, when the aircraft is placed by the gate, are the engines running or do they turn them on after pushback?

4. How can I start a flight with a dark/cold panel with the engines off?

cheers

1) I think this is just a synonym for initially intercepting the glideslope for an ILS approach.

2) Passenger seat belt signs are usually turned off at around 18,000 / 20,000ft but will be delayed if turbulence is imminent. A similar situation occurs for descent, below around 15,000 to 20,000ft, the seat belt sign will be illuminated.

3) Only the APU is running at the gate - engines are started on pushback as you identified.

4) You can create a flight, turning off all of the lights, engines etc etc and then save it as your default flight so it will always start in that condition.

Hope that helps a bit 😛
