Does anyone know if there's a keyboard command controlling the dive brakes in this craft? I hate going to the mouse because i have to let go of the stick to do so.

I've got my trigger button on my 'stick' assigned to brakes.
While in FS press options, the controls, then assignments. Brakes should be in there.

........YUP! .........Speedbrakes is all you get! After all, it is a sailplane, built to glide and sail aloft on aircurrents and thermals and therefore needs to be lightweight and simple. ........One wheel undercarraige, no wheel brake, no flaps, no hydraulics, no complex spoilers, no noisey engine(s) and thrust reversers, no huge instrument panel full of switches, dials, knobs, levers that all have to be faithfully observed and adhered to in order to just land with destroying yourself! Nope, the Schwiezer is a beauty, ....few basic instruments, stick, pedals and airbrakes and just the whisper of wind past the canopy on a fine day! By the way, I also use the (/) key which operates speedbrakes or airbrakes for practically all FS aircraft that have them fitted. ....Enjoy your Schwiezer.... Regards, neseng.

Nice low-down neseng 👍

Makes me wanna ditch my heavies... but I just can't live without those sounds. I could always try and retrofit the Schweizer with a set of roaring RR Trent Hack

I think I'm going mad...

NOW does anyone know if the speed brake can be controlled in increments with a keyboard command? The / only fully opens or fully closes the speed brakes.

Hi Brook, .....as far as I know, the key (/) command for airbrakes can not be set to operate incrementally, it is either all or nothing! However, on the Schwiezer, I find that if you are on short finals but with far too much airspeed, you can bleed that speed off pretty rapidly with several short but intermittent deployments of the airbrake. Unlike deployment of the airbrake on the heavies which have much higher mass, the Schwiezer is very light and respnds accordingly. Hope this helps, Cheers, neseng.

Gliders are great!!

I always use slew to get them at about 15 Km high and then get the nose down 80 degrees and i reached 600 knots one time Embarassed 😛 .
The plane was all shaking and stuff 😛

They are easy to slow down though when u are going like mach 1 and need to approach for an airstrip 😛
