Hi!
As I wanted to see where I'm flying to, and as it's quite interesting to compare FSX Scenery with real world images, I've written a small tool to show FSX user aircraft and AI object positions in Google Earth in realtime.
If you're interested, have a look at http://www.juergentreml.de/fsxget/
I'd be very interested in your opinion on the tool and further features. Feel free to post them in the on my site! Thanks!
Welcome aboard juergentreml i'm sure you've made a wonderful tool but FSX has had to many problems errors and bugs that iv'e returned it and i'm wating until after chrismtas or so before i buy it again. unless microsoft come out with the patch. Good to see another memeber 🙂
Flyboy92
Seems interesting.
There is also this ➡
I have it for FS9...I don't use it oftenly though but its a great program too. 😉
Yes, you're right ... seems to be very close to what I have written. Seems interesting for some features.
I've thought about path prediction, too ... and I'll implement that sooner or later. But at the moment I'm lacking the time to do that.
Anyway, unlike this tool, mine's gonna stay freeware

That's an undoubtable advantage against mine... 😉
I've uploaded an updated version. Now with a more clean icon set and course prediction for user aircraft.
Course prediction for AI objects should be coming soon
Thanks juergen, I'll be keeping an eye on this, especially when my friendly ISP decides to give me back my speed 😀
These Google Earth things don't take kindly to a slow connection.
I've updated the program and version 0.0.3 is now available including course prediction for user as well as ai objects.
Furthermore I added some security features to limit access for example to localhost only if you wish so.
Also, I corrected some bugs which made it impossible to run Google Earth on a different machine than the tracker program. Now this should be working fine.
Feel free to download and test it: http://www.juergentreml.de/fsxget/
