Legendary 727 - PLEEEASE HELP !

Haven't flown the Legendary very often (I'm really a taildragger) - 😂 still learning 😂 -but each time I have, I get all the sounds - starting with the female voice 'Welcome aboard.....etc'>. Followed by 'take off checks' and 'after take off checks' and even get a voice warning when I'm getting too low ' Ho Up'!!! Haven't attempted to do a real landing and don't use ATC often. These are all accompanied by a red text copy at the top of the screen. Do you get this text??
I have not clicked, selected. squeezed or even ignored anything I recognise as a Voice Panel.
Mine is also for FS2002 with the Upgrade CD.
Only thing I can suggest is the Settings/Sound/Cockpit level - have you checked that it is selected and has a medium volume level?

Sorry Kid, I can't say that has ever been a problem with my 727. However, if you have any ideas regarding how to get the main door to open...please past it along. All I have ever been able to do is open the front windows.

It's annoying to fly from London - Greenland in this beast and only be able to open a window when I get there ! (How do I get my cargo out!)..... 80 Russian Refridgerators and 400 microwaves can't go through that window !

Hi Again - The key strokes to open the cargo doors are actuallu the DragWheel and Wingsfold keys in fs9. You will have to go into FS9 Settings/Assignments and check that they are listed - Dragwheel is usually assigned but you may have to assign the Shift] key - simple enough to do - here's proof -

I (and I know a few others) have been trying to get the doors open for weeks !!

This months 'Simmer of the month' award goes to Dave C for me !

Also, last night I uninstalled 727 and then re-installed - it seemed I hadn't done the FS2004 patch correctly first time because it works fine now !!

The dialogue between the Captain and the GROUND crew is cool ! More add-ons should include some voice stuff like this - it's good fun !

I have had so much help from the flyaway forum that I am only too pleased to help when I can - only been a simmer for 6 months but I have a fair bit of experience in PC's - so I should, as I'll be celebrating the 50th anniversary of my 29th birthday in a couple of years time.
By the way - I am still waiting on a response from contacts-software re the EET Cub - sales advised me that they had passed it to the tech support team - that was 10 days ago!!!

Happy flying and now you can rid of these 80 Russian fridges 😂

I flew the 727 from Gatwick - Greenland last night (Godthab Airport, on the South West Coast of Greenland)... a surprisingly short flight at around 4 hours... when you consider Greenland ain't a million miles from Canada ! It was my first flight with the Voice Panel working so I was having some fun (knocking a few years off my age!)....

On approach to Godthab, I was greeted with the fact that Greenland hasn't yet gotten into ILS, so I took the bird down by hand, and made what has probably been my finest 727 landing to date.... I've been bringing her in at about 160kts in the past - far too fast, this time I got the speed down to 130kts for the last 1000 feet, for a nice smooth touchdown.

Right - Off to Kamchatka next with those 'fridges !

Hey I just quickly saw this before hitting the sack. Does Shf+F or SHF+T work for you dorrs? Just asking. Forgive me if it is a mute thing.

(By the way, as a reminder, the shf T and, F have to be configured in FS9. They normally open the aux doors of Jets. Again, for give me if this is a mute point that has been investigated.

I've now got all of the 727 doors working - I used the above posting from Dave and I assigned CTRL + F8, and CTRL + F7 for 2 of the doors (wide side door, and FAB rear ramp! ..... and Shift + E opens the window, with Shift + E2 opening the final door.

Just had to assign the descriptions given in Dave's posting.
