No, just look at a thread from a year ago and compare it to now. We have arguments, and well just look at the forums. Remember how people used to admire us becuase we were so nice,friendly and helpful?Look at how that's now the past.

We just become mature...

These days wont come back...I had 1000 posts and some people don't accuse me for post whoring or what ever,also some people wont afraid to laugh,or to have fun...
Now i have close to 7000 posts...The same people accuse me ,and lots others here, for post whoring,they don't laugh,and they certainly afraid....People change...Unfortunatelly to worst... 😕

Imagine a new member here setting-up a party for his ''X'' posts...Post counters would jump to him...Too bad...

I see some great missing members in this Party 🙄 ...Thanks for bring it back to my memories... ❗

This change to bad has some hard job behind...
Certain members turns this nice relaxing site, from white to grey...Excactly as their lives...It needs hard job to become white again...And i don't know if there are any volunteers about this kind of re-painting... ❗

There are a couple of things that need to be addressed.

1. Anyone who has been here for more than a year has probably seen and/or answered every possible question many times.

2. We all have heard many times, people complaining that software sucks, when the truth is that their hardware isn't up to the task.

3. Most arguments occur in the off topic forum because of the greater diversity of subject matter of a non-technical nature.

4. Some people are terrified when people argue. Others enjoy a good scrap.

5. Last, but certainly not least, human nature requires that everyone wants to have the last word.

When you get right down to it, no one actually gets hurt by any of this, but potential members might be a bit turned off by it. A possible solution would be to move threads that get a bit wild and wooly to a forum reserved for the inane and insane. That forum would carry a disclaimer to warn away those who are upset by such things.

In that way those who wish to jump into they fray, could, while the rest of the forums would be calm and tranquil. Those who are offended by such things would have no one to blame but themselves if they continue to read things in that forum. The moderators will probably hate this idea.

One other thing. Everyone needs a vactation from time to time. Otherwise the number of times they read the same type of questions over and over, becomes oppressive.

That has to be the most perfect example of things changing. Why do I get the impression certain member(s) wouldn't post what they did then, now?

Crash makes a good post here. Speaking in general, one does need to put things into perspective a little. We don't live for this forum, or at least we shouldn't.

After all it's just a website. Sure enough it is a place where you can have very enjoyable conversations with nice people from all around the globe, which is a good thing to have, but at the end of the day it still remains a website.

Its a shame that over the last time certain individuals come here that don't know the first things about forum etiquette, and don't even bother to pretend to care about 'our' little community but hey -it's not very likely we'll change the world (though you should probably still try), so if you find yourself annoyed, take a deep breath, close I.E. and go outside 🙂

Firefox 2 has built in spell checking that is pretty good. Shame it doesn't know how to spell Firefox though 🙂

i remember not all that long ago, one of my first thoughts about this place was how friendly everybody was, now half the posts are just arguments or insults.
