Problem Installing Deluxe after uninstalling Regular

I have traded my Regular FSX for the Deluxe one. The problem started when I uninstalled regular, it would give me an error and wouldn't uninstal, so I went and deleted all the files that had to do with FSX. I even ran a system search to make sure nothing else had to do with FSX. Then I put my Deluxe CD in, it doesn't install, it updates my regular version, so I dont have anything on my PC after all this...hehe. It's like it stills detects FSX Regular (wich I uninstalled) and it tries to update that one instead of just installing the game. Could someone please help with this?!
