Gentlemen;

I also just installed X and only when I go below 20 fps and lower my scenery detail do I get smooth operation. I just installed a Radeon X1600 Pro 512MB card and even installed the Catalyst for Dec 06. My system is runing at close to 3GHz with over 2GB of memory. For the life of me, my FS 2004 runs smoothly at about 30 fps but so far I'm very dissapointed with X.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

what is an fps

FPS = Frames Per Second

Like an old film reel, it's how many frames are shown consecutively in one second.

How do I change them?

FSX sucks, I have it and I still play FS2004. 2004 is way easier to use and the scenery is better on my machine.

upgrade your hardware (e.g. graphics card, processor, RAM, etc...)
