I have an older machine. It is 2.5 GHz and it has an nVidia card...although its a couple of years old now. I tried the app that is a sticky on this board and my machine checked out ok. However, Flight Sim X takes years to load and stops and starts once I'm in. I have everything set at the lowest graphics settings.
Is there anything I can do to enhance the performance of this program on my machine?
If not here is a warning: Do not expect much unless you have the latest greatest machine. This program is just so so on older machines.

Defrag, don't use autogen, low clouds and easy on the scenery.
