I'm flying from Brussles (EBBR) -> Manchester (EGCC) Flying VFR at 05:48GMT i was 70NM away from EGCC and in my descent, I chose the airport from the ATC list and it said that it was only IFR at this moment in time, Why is it doing this? Especially at a big airport?
ad weather because if you are using a vfr flight plane in bad weather or night before you take off you can request to taxi adn it will say request denied airport is currentley ifr I reccomed opening an ifr flight plan
oh i see, I have my weather set to "real" and it's foggy and rainy over manchester. So that would be my reason?
yup vfr stands for visual flight rules meaning you can fly by landmark and what not ifr stands for instrement flight rules meaning atc gps's fmc and any weather at any time while vfr is limited to day time and good weather
oh, i see. Thanks!
