How can i start a flight where my engines arn't running at the gate?

ive tried that, it doesn't tell me anything.

This worked for me, start a flight at the gate or ramp,switch everything off(fuel/battery, avionics etc) then save this as your default flight. Then whatever aircraft you choose next, in whatever flight you choose, it will be cold and dark!
