There is one mission in the CFS1 where your RAF airbase is under bomber attack and you have got to scramble as fast as you can to repel them. However the approaching Luftwaffe bombers are heavily escorted by fighters and these fighters have an obvious advantage in altitude and speed. My problem is that they do not give me a chance to gain speed or altitude and when I try to dodge them at low altitude I often stall and crash. If I try to fly straight to gain speed they simply shoot me down.
Even a slight plane damage that affects control or thrust becomes fatal on a low altitute.
There is something evil in these fighter's behaviour - all three of them are trying to attack me first and not my computer generated squadron mates!
(I try play on a veteran level and 100% realism settings.)
Any tips on the tactics, please?
