I would like to upgrade my computer I currently have a Nvida 5200 so I need a better graphics card and how much ram should I get? I have 1024mb.

Any suggestions? I'll have Vista Home Premium and Directx10 by the time the orders come.

I would get as much as you can, normally limited to 4 GB. Smile

Hi Murf -

Are you AGP or PCIE16x slot on motherboard? This will help us point you to the best card for the money. I would double your memory to 2GB, that's an easy one. Try and get a matching pair if possible or at least the same Cas Latency settings. People always overlook this important feature of purchasing memory. ALWAYS MATCHING PAIRS!

Let us know on the card....

I was thinking that new 8800 by Nvdia but I can't afford to pay 350 for that. I need to save for this ski trip I'm going on shortly.

The ONLY problem with the 8800's are most people do not have a minimum 500 watt power supply in order to run it. It uses 2 pin power connectors. It's a monster!
