Scenery Installation Question

When installing add-on scenery into the "Addon Scenery" folder, there are two subfolders, "scenery" and "texture" the various scenery packages' readme files mention putting the files in their respective locations, but one thing is inexact:

Is it better to put the individual scenery/texture files for the add-ons in subfolders of the "scenery" and "texture" folders,

Or, just dump 'em all in to one big, happy mess in those two folders?

In my experience if it's a manual install, it's best to leave the complete folder intact and place it in the Addon Scenery folder.

Some scenery add-ons contain more than one Scenery and one Texture folder respectively, that's where it gets messy.

In other words, ignore the by default empty scenery and texture subfolders in the Addon Scenery unless instructed otherwise by the author.
