thanks for the help..when they mention the map button in the help are they talking about the button that shows the gps track and surrounding airports.?

They are referring to the map that shows the aiports and navaids. You can click on the airport you are doing the appraoch into and it will give you the mag course and freq for the ILS or whatever approach you are doing.

thanks for the help i figured it out last night. im still having a hard time intersecting nav points though.. when i follow the atc directions i never end up in line with the run way i always end out facing the wrong directions 😕 any one got any pointers?

They never point you AT the runway unless you are doing a visual approach. They have you on a heading to gently intercept the glide slope of the runway you are landing on. Just fly on the heading indicated by ATC, and if you feel you are extremely far off, turn more toward whatever runway you are told to land at. (using the MAP as your guide)
