You may have some malware on your system.
First I would:

Download, install, update and run these three.

spybot search and destroy

spyware blaster

then when you are sure you are clean, install:

Mozilla (no more popups)

I use Ad-Aware and the free Pop-Up-Stopper.
I've been using these two for years.

I keep Mozzila Firefox for slow sites. Opera is good also.

Standard spyware removers WON'T work on the spy-ware problems you're talking about. There's a program out on the web called "HijackThis", one word I believe. It's a simple interface, but it will give you a very long feed-back log of all things currently running on your computer. The trick is, most of those files are GOOD files that your computer needs to be happy! If you can't find the program on the web, email me and i'll send you a copy. Once you have the log, save it, and email it to either me or someone on one of many forums you'll see on the net. With a little expereince it's easy to spot the spy-ware that needs to be fixed.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Hi Ohiosimmer,
Have you tried Emerald PopStop? I had the same problem - Popstop gets rid of all pop-ups and is free! If you go to and search for it you should find it there. Let me know how you get on!

Best wishes,

Very Happy For a basic free popup stopper try Google toolbar Arrow

It adds a google search bar and stops those popups

Originalgrunge is quite right.

You probably do have some browser hijacker on you machine. I should have mentioned this in my post above. Here is the link:

Read the tutorial linked below before you start messing with removals:

or post the log file on any of the hijack this forums for help.
