Multiplayer 2004/2002 help

I was trying to set up a multiplayer with a friend over the weekend without success, it's the first time either of us had tried.

We both tried to host by using our own IP address with the other trying to join but neither of us could get it to work. I am using FS2004 while my friend is using FS2002, could this be the problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No that would not be the case
it may be because of some of your computers firewall and antivirus setting
to change these contact your computers administrator
another way to do a session with your freind is to go onto a public server Akroma is a good one to use
and then arange a time to meet up with your freind on there then you can fly together
if you still cant get it to work
please contact me on
in the subject line please put Microsoft Flight Simulator
Thanks and good luck
Kind Regards

Thanks for the help Oliver.

We had both enabled each others IP address in the firewall settings.

Perhaps it is best to try a public service, will let you know if it works.

Thanks again.
