hey guys i'm new to the site, just had a question about aircraft add ons for flight simulator x.
will any of the airplanes i bought from alphasim or any others work with flight simulator x? i'm thinkin about upgrading to x when i get my new pc but wanna be sure some of the stuff i bought for fs2004 will work.

Some are some aren't.
Check at the site to see if the ones you have are already updated.
Since you're mentioning Alphasim - you'll find that they have already released FSX versions of previous fs9 releases.
I've got a bit of Alphasim stuff myself, for fs9 that is but am not expecting to be using much of it in FSX when I'm ready.
Alphasim do work on their products and when they say Update, they usually mean it. Good bunch IMHO.
What am I saying? Once I am FSX ready, in the case of Alphasim I'll be getting the new, FSX add-ons.
