i have tried a couple of panels for my 737-200adv (air zimbabwe) and they are poor, or are a mission to install and then dont work properly! anyone got a good panel for this plane as well as a good sound pack! the sound pack i have is good in the cockpit but does not work in other views as well as not having gear and flap noises! i have seen some pics of guys with nice wingviews etc as its a awesome plane when reverse thrust is applied with the noise and the thruster brakes extending!
I'm not familiar with the ADV version of the 732 but in the not-advanced one I have, I use the PW JT8D by Christoffer Petersen. It's a screamer, flap and gear sounds in the cockpit but not outside.
This seems to be the norm, I can't recall any soundset that has flap- and gear sounds outside.
I'm a bit intrigued by your 737-200adv I've got the 727-200adv... different bird all together.
hi tailhook its this one from Avsim. It is a cool plane thats why needs the roar, will check out that that you have]
i didnt mean to hear gear and flap from the outside, i cant hear the engines on a out side view which sucks cause the power up noise is better from the outside!
Sorry x-pilot, I completely forgot to give you the link
The picture you linked me to doesn't tell me anything -- I now what a -200 looks like.
What I'd like to know is why this one is supposed to be ADVANCED. Is this the aircraft in question http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=&Name=&FileName=zim737v2.zip&Author=&CatID=root
tailhook thanks for that!
ha ha, the adv 73 i think has more modern avionics and instruments in it, considering the airline still operate these aircraft today, they have had them as long as i remember, 20 years or more. so i emagine for todays safety standards they had to modded so they can still fly.
i think the engines are the same noisy ones hence why you only find planes like this in africa where i have seen them and when i was in iraq last year i saw 73adv flying there too.
i only like the air zim colour scheme, probably wouldnt travel with again.
tailhook, the soundpack is better than the one i had, cheers! i like the confermation of "gear down"
i will wait for the wife to leave the house to turn the volume up!
