Weird memory usage

When I was flying from London to Stockholm, I was moving the spot view camera around after landing and the memory usage shot up! FSX usually uses around 200,000K but when the crash happened, it was using 1,000,000K! Has anyone else experienced this? It might be because I'm running SP1.

I can’t say 4 sure but I would guess it has to do with the increase in the graphics needed to display the scene. By the way….Why SP1? And what are you running. (Machine, memory and so-on)

I use a Dell Dimension DIM 4600 running XP Pro (SP2) with a Pentium 4 CPU 3.4GHz, 2.50GB RAM. GeForce 7800 GSOC APG 8x/4x 256MB GDDR3. I use the CH Products HOTAS including the pedals and the MFP. I also have TrackIR and will probably pickup the Pro clip. As far as the video goes I use an LCD screen and a projector. Also I have very little additional soft wear installed. Only what is needed for the operation of the machine and games plus what I need for communications. (E-mail and internet access)
So that’s me. What do you run?

Could be but I don't think that the default Stockholm airport scenery would make it jump to over 1GB of usage. About SP1, its in beta so it may be buggy at the moment.

My specs are:
Windows Vista Ultimate
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz
2.5GB DDR2 RAM
Nvidia Geforce 7600GT 256MB (GDDR3)
FSX Deluxe with SP1 beta
Microsoft Sidewinder Joystick / Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller
