Black Clouds

Guest

Hello,

I just purchased a new computer with the nvidia 8800 GTX SLI video cards. Last night I was messing with the Nvidia Control Panel and updated the drivers to the latest drivers, tried fs2004 and the clouds were black and flashing. I reverted back to the old drivers, but every few seconds the clouds flash from white to black and back to white again. Does anyone know what is going on? Or what could be causing this? Are the newst Nvidia drivers the best ones to have installed?

Thank you.

If they don't work for your system clean them out and try new ones.
Also change the settings in the control panel of the card, drop the AA setting to 2X and see how it does.

Thank you Radarman, I will give that a try. In the mean time, do you have any suggestions as to how to run the Nvidia Control Panel? There seems to be about 5 different areas to adjust your graphics settings and none of the 5 areas seem to make a difference in the graphical appreance of fs2004. I tried to find a manual on line, but with no success. Any ideas? The control panel is confusing and I should have stuck with the philosophy that if it isn't broke don't fix it, but my curiosity got the best of me. Thanks again for your help.

Sorry, I use ATi, always have, so their (NVIDIA) control panel is something I've never seen.

See if you get any wiser reading this PDF Manual. It's quite long and in depth:
