what is FSX SP1?

FSX P1 is a planned update similar to what microsoft does for windows. They are basically going to post a update for us to download that will correct some common issues that have been reported.

will there be any graphics improvement or will it just be for bugs?

It's hard to say... It should be out in a couple weeks. It's in Beta now and many are providing feedback...
I would think the bugs are related to graphics...
We'll see.

😀 Yes, I read that a few days ago, he posted it here.
It only tells part of the SP1, we'll have to wait to see what else it does.
They aren't going to tell you about a portion that may not work out and has to be pulled the last moment.
That's why they sign an NDA.

It mentions a 20% performance improvement, which is about what I was guessing was plausible.

If that ends up being fairly uniform across the board, that means guys getting 15-25 frames now will be pretty happy, but no miracles for the 5-6 FPS guys.

there's improvement for duo core multithread support.
i.e. that should help the new computers, but not the single core machine.

Like all good service packs, it will fix lots of bugs and introduce a whole range of new ones 🙂
