Without touching a thing, other than system configuration and memroy timings, I reached a new fps record for myself... last time it was 54fps, but tonight, I just hit 70.9fps... This pic was taken just outside of Vancouver, BC... Scenery settings were maxed out, including Autogen, traffic was at 40%. Also, this is an untouched copy of FSX... no tweaks... purely out of the box cfgs... I wonder what would happen with some tweaks.
this is definitely good news.
I think trees are very easy to draw.
Pls also try it over a complex city. e.g. LA? or Tokyo?
I would love to compare it after SP1 installation.
I was getting the 54fps over Los Angeles.
two questions -
how exactly do you go about checking your frames per second, and you do you change them?
thanks.
First, you check your FPS by pushing shift+z twice... secondly, you cant "change" the FPS that your computer can produce, you can only change the "target" that FSX looks for. Thats in your Display settings.
Way to go JL! I wish I could get those numbers! 😀
