there have been several times when i have made a post, like "does anyone know where i can get a freeware plane xxxx?"
and someone will reply with "do you mean this?" and then there will be a url that goes to avsim, directly to a specific page of the library showing one or more of what i asked for.
how do you get that url? my browser only shows the address
http://www.avsim.com no matter what page i am on.

On Avsim, search for the item you want. Center of page you'll see a box that says " Normal Mode". Change this to "Scan Mode" and then click [Change view]. You will then see all of the results of your search in table format. When you view any of the choices, a link to that choice will appear in the address bar of your Internet browser. Copy that link for posting of future reference.

You can even right-click on the "download" button, select "Copy shortcut" from the context menu, and the full address of the download link will be stored on your clipboard....(for the lazy among us Wink )

When you're on Avsim's homepage, instead of clicking on 'File Library' in the menu at the top, RIGHT-CLICK on it instead and select 'Open Link in New Tab' when using Firefox.
Save the following page in your Bookmarks. Use this page when conducting a search. Now each search result will display its own, individual URL.
