Perhaps Flyaway could spend some of our funds switching to a board that wasn't full of security holes such as FusionBB or smf

ha, fly away can't even get the billing straight. i doubt they even care what goes on on this board. if it wasn't for a few people here who work real hard to moderate this site would be nothing. the owners apparently could really give a sh**
The site isn't as popular as it used to be.

Oh well, don't know about that... on the internet, and especially on forums, there's usually more then what meets the eye...
Firstly, everything always eventually comes down to $$$, and secondly, if Flyaway also has a regular day job, and if it is anything like mine, I certainly wouldn't be spending my spare time switching an established forum to a new board and migrating all the data, and afterwards cleaning all of the mess such actions usually bring along with them...because no matter what, people will always complain 🙂
so hey, don't worry, be happy, this is just the internet 🙂

with 9,763 registered users, at $5 per month that's $48,815 per month. it's a safe bet they're covering the bandwidth bill. but with all the flow they can't be bothered to do a little customer service. i just think that's a little weak.

I could do a full board conversion in a day having it done it several times before. I'm sure one day at a weekend wouldn't kill him.
It's not a case of 'spending his spare time'
He charges people for a service therefore he is obliged to maintain that service.

that is the total of registered users now the 5$ a month bill only effected the new members that joined after the bill was enacted so more that half of that number and figuring is incorrect
who cares how much $$ they make or don't make, when it comes right down to it, they are still obligated to charge you for what you get and nothing more. having proper billing is not too much to ask, no matter how much someone may want to defend their complete lack of
(what ever word i'm too annoyed to think of right now)
