Okay I am getting tired of this:

I keep getting OOM (out of memory)messages, and FSX will shut down. I want it fixed!!!! Evil or Very Mad Is this happening because I have all the settings maxed out (I have every last setting maxed and FSX is pushing around 25 to 30 fps)? This is how it happens:

I start at Gate 11 at KSEA. Destination: Tokyo, Japan on Japan Airlines (JAL). As the cargo, passengers, and fuel is being loaded, I program my course, altitude and speed into the GPS and Flight Director and prep the autopilot.

Once the cargo and fuel is loaded, I contact Seattle tower requesting departure, heading west. I then close cargo and passenger doors and retract the jetway. Soon as the jetway breaks seal I activate the push from the gate and proceed to runway 16L. After a plane or two takeoff or land, I am cleared to takeoff and I proceed to do so.

After about 5000 feet I activate the autopilot and get ready to go through my course. At 10000 feet, I get that dreaded OOM message and the simulator shuts down!!! Evil or Very Mad

I sure would like to know how to fix this. 😕

Well after turning off the Vista Sidebar, I managed to make it to Tokyo (RJTT) but as soon as I get it to line up with the runway, the freaking error pops up again!!!! I wonder what really hogs up the virtual memory... Vista or FSX itself. Mad

Well that seems like a decent amount of memory. I guess I would go check your virtual memory setup, try increasing the size of your page file and see if that has an effect.

Yes try what faust says.....

You should have atleat 200mb or 2gb of page file size incase its 3 gb. If its turned to windows default-then punch in 2000 mb.
