Military Planes

Hi all,

I am looking for some military planes for FSX. Ones I have had before are extremely, well, rubbish but I've only really tried freeware.

I would like to try a working aircraft carrier if poss with a decent plane, freeware preferable but I don't mind paying if I have to.

Thanks 😀

If your willing to pay there no other place for military except here.

That's about all they have.

RadarMan has pretty much summed it up here! For the moment this is the ONLY place for FSX military aircraft.

I'm strictly a VC flyer. So naturally I want my VC's to look as good as possible. Where Alpha Sim's cockpits might display the windscreen frame as a flat sort of cardboard looking thing Shockwave will display it in high detail texture including screws or rivets. To me this makes a huge difference. I bought one Alpha airplane, their T-6 Texan and the exterior model is fantastic but the cockpit really lacked quality. The panel looked relatively good with photo real detail but the surrounding areas look like cardboard. This will prevent me from buying any more Alpha planes.

Sorry if this offends any loyal Alpha fans but I'm very picky wen it comes to VC's and nobody does it better than Shockwave.

I have to agree 100% with you there and I have found that shockwave planes have less bugs in them but that could just be my bad luck with the ones I choose from AlphaSim. I'm afraid I'm always chasing a realistic look with high detail and while there are many quality ones out there as it stands today shockwave are on top who knows what tomorrow brings as I'm loyal to no one I just go with what suits my needs.

I guess when your paying for something then it's up to the consumer but even with the free stuff if it looks like crap and doesn't pass my eye for detail then payware here I come. Nothing worse in my opinion is finding your craft you luv to fly but having to carry a spew bag every time you crank up FSX because it's butt ugly. I rarely touch any of the default planes in FSX because there just that butt ugly to the eye but I guess I'm not normal.......
