Cannot calibrate controls in FS2004

I recently added FS2004 to my computer, and have installed the ELITEFS drivers. I am using the Elite Pro Panel SE for my yoke, throttles etc. I have a problem with the aircraft turning to the right hands off, and must hold serious left aileron to keep the wings level. When I click on ELITE in the FS2004 toolbar a banner comes down saying CONFIGURATION, but when I click on CONFIGURATION, everything locks up, and I do not get the configuration screen, and I have to to an ALT/F4 to unlock it. I have tried numerous times reinstalling FS2004 and the ELITEFS dirvers with no help. The yoke works fine with the Elite program. My system is: Celeron 2.6G processor, 1.5G RAM, and 80G hard drive. Can someone help me get to the configuration screen so I can calibrate the contrtols?

Nice yoke!

Did you try the latest drivers (patches) or their forum.

I recently downloaded the drivers, and was not aware that there were patches. I just noticed since I posted the original that when I click on Configuration, the screen flashes up for a fraction of a second before the system locks up. whatever that means??

Uninstall the drivers and patches.
Go to device manager and uninstall (delete) the yoke.
Shut off the PC.
Unplug the USB for the yoke, plug it back in another USB socket then start the machine.
Reinstall the drivers or patches (I don't know which is which, you should).
That way you have a clean start.

You are running XP...I think.

The Propanel SE is serial and goes into the game port of the computer.

Game Port, that an oldie.

See if you can pick up a adaptor GP to USB.

If it doesn't work out well (adapter) bring it back.

Some adaptors (joystick) have mixed reviews when it comes to working in XP.

Are these XP drivers??? Check their forums or email them to see what to do.

Meanwhile I would clean out the profile, reboot and reinstall it.

Thanks for the advice. I will go to the ELITE forum and see what I can find.
