Has anyone successfully completed the optional challenge to go to the Medevac site the on the way back? If so, how did you approach the landing?
In the first place, the Medevac altitude (14.3kft) is near the envelope for this plane. When I fly around and coax the altitude up, I can try several approaches. On one, I've actually succeeded in landing (in tact) and even came to a STOP - only to have the plane, by itself, (at idle, flaps down, gear up or down) slide backwards, then around, ROLL down hills, and shoot me over a cliff (if I first survive the bumpy ride down before going over), no matter what rudders, speed, etc. I try on the way down. On the way down, I come close to the Medevac tents but don't know how do anything to stop my deadly slide.
Yes! The difficulties and possible solutions are thoroughly discussed at:
