When I put the text on the plane, it comes up fuzzy. How can I change this?

I presume you are using Adobe Photoshop to put the text on - saving the adobe file as a bmp file in 256 colors and then converting it to an extended bmp file with DXTBMP. You have to make sure that the extended bmp file includes MIPS so that as you zoom in/out in FS9 the details remain in focus. There are several other reasons why your text can be fuzzy but to cover them all I would need to divert all my time to writing a manual of which there are several about and all a lot better than I could do it.

The most important thing to remember about repainting Chris. - is that you will not produce a perfect result the first time it is very much a case of trial and error which means dodging between Photoshop, DXTBMP and FS9 incessantly and you do get fed up with it. Do not try to make huge lumps of repainting at one visit - do it gradually and go into FS9 to check -out every step.
Hope this helps - does this mean I can forget about the Dolan 747 and let you get on with it yourself 😂
