Well, I fly most American and Qantas 😉

Yes Posky is a VERY good freeware aircraft maker. They recently got the 747 V4, the repaints are awesome 😀

Thank you Tailhook, another person who can actually spell Qantas right, why do people use the 'u' it just is beyond me 🙄

Some people probably use it because almost any word that begins with a q has a u after it.

Hey, hey bawls, surely you're referring to the English language exclusively?

Is it Qatar Airways or Quatar Airways?

My point being that as we all profess to be aviation enthusiasts wouldn't it be interesting to know where all these weird names of some airlines originated from?

Sure, AA is easy - so is Eastern, BA and Continental. But what about Biman, Qantas, Loftleidir, Cathay etc.?

+1

Nevertheless, rowcoach I commend the fact that you actually wanted to know, put in a little effort and were duly rewarded 👍

Cathay Pacific: "Cathay" is an older English word that basically means "China".
