Please can anyone help
I had flight sim loaded and working but with a few issues, screen whiting out when i pointed to the GPS small icon in the cockpit.
So i uninstalled the programme and that is where my problems begin.
Each time a load the programme it cant find 4 scenery patches no matter how many times i try to load it.
when i put disk 1 in and get the option to repair it the programme freezes.
this could poss be a computer fault but dont know running dell dimention 5000.
Did you remember to set your desktop and Sim resolution to the same. May be part of your problem. Also you may want to reset your 3D settings to default and start over addjusting.

That might solve a problem (I think) I have, would you mind elaborating?
On my old 17" CRT all was good except when running FSX I had to change the resolution. After exiting FSX, I had to change the resolution back or I wouldn't have been able to read anything.
Now I've got a 24" LCD and everything looks OK on both FSX and FS9 with the exception of screenies. They look great when viewed on my machine, but when I post them to the forum, they look like FS2000. Confused.
Don't get a headache over it though
Open FSX, settings, customize, on the left is full screen resolutions, choose the resolution that matches your desktop.
Yes, that's what I've been using. Thanks anyway.
The programme is running fine but i am still getting white screens for a few seconds when i either bring up sat nav etc from the display bar.I also get it when i hover over some of the controls.
I have changed my screen resilution so many times getting a bit fed up with it now.
Any other suggestions very welcome.
In settings/aircraft try unchecking tool tips.
I had just found it on page 4 of the Forum
