What are v speeds? They are ref speeds for various regimes of flight. The v stands for velocity.

Yeah, technically speaking, this is a misnomer anyway - since velocity is a vector quantity. So call-outs should be 80knots (well, actually in SI units - 41,2m.s-1) STRAIGHT DOWN THE 'KIN RUNWAY! 😂
