Does anyone know where I can get a download of Service Pack 2 or MSFSX Acceleration? I have been looking everywhere I can think of and still cannot find it. When I go to download it from MS, it gives me an error message that it was reset and to try again later for the download. I have tried several times and still cannot connect with either MS download center or the MS FSX home page to get the download for SP2.
You can buy Acceleration at Amazon, or ebay. It contains both SP1 and SP2.
You can download either from www.fsinsider.com
Radar Man, as always thanks for the suggestions and I will look at both places for the downloads and get it from one of them.
Radar Man, I still cannot find the Acceleration Pack! On E-Bay, I keep getting outbid, and on Microsoft they are no longer selling their own products.
Where is a Simmer to get the necessary software to get lasting and good simulations from MS? It just seems to me that since the shutdown of ACES, products have become scarcer and lacking for all the sim games that MS makes, unless its for MS LIVE! which they want an arm and a leg charge for access each month. Hopefully I don't have to make the switch to X Plane for true support and availability.
Here you go, Amazon is always your best bet.
Radar Man, Thanks again for the help! I found the Acceleration Package for an extremely cheap price and purchased it right away.
Again, I have to come to the conclusion that Microsoft is going to stop support for the FlightSim community unless its for MS Live and then the charges will be outrageous.
This seems to me that the life of MS Flight Simulators has come to an end and we need to start working on an entirely new flight simulator package that the flight sim community can take and make their own.
The Sim doesn't need MS to support it, the Sim community has always supported itself.
They gave us FSX, SP1 and SP2 now it's our turn to build it to it's limit...and beyond.
There are other "games" that have gone on from the original for many years after first being published.
Nascar, Links Golf, MS Train#1 etc.
The list goes on and on.
Someday someone will build a better sim but until then we can add add add to it until it's perfect and we all have machines that run it to it's fullest.
