Working in my new computer under Vista Ultimate I have been trying to save a slightly modified ".cfg" file but I get a message saying:
"Cannot create the C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft\Cadet\Aircraft.cfg"
"Make sure that the path and file name are correct."
but the file path and file name are exactly correct.
I think this may have something to do with being an administrator in Vista but *I am one* here in my own computer and on this "identity".
I've done this with no trouble in XP but Vista? I dunno.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there a work-around?
Hopefully, Pete
Save the CFG. to desktop then just paste it and replace the old one.
Cheers 🍻
THANK YOU KARLW!!!
I went so far as to go to http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/ but try as they might they could not give me a straightforward answer the way you did. YOUR METHOD WORKED!
Thanks you again! Now all I have to do is to not forget this "trick".
(Not easy at my age...)
