Ok so... I have a really good computer. I run FSX on max graphics and I run on vista 64 bit. I was wondering what was up with this whole DX10 thing. What does it do? Would I be able to use it? Where can I download it? and how do you use it when it is downloaded?
Thanks!
If you have all the updates for Vista you have DX10 or better.
Can you use it, that depends on the video card you have.
Is it DX10 capable.
If it is, you can only use it on aircraft made for DX10. if they aren't they lose all textures and show up white.
Forget it.
Go to start/run/ type in dxdiag and you will see what version of DX you have.
I have W7 64bit and my card is capable but I don't use it for FSX.
Ok. I checked and it says i have DX11. Does DX10 make FSX look better though? If so, how do I make it so FSX will use DX10?
In the Sims settings you check the box that says DX10.
If you can't find one then you may not have a card that supports it.
I found this on the net, it shows the box,

DX11 supersedes DX10 which means that if you could activate DX10 or DX11, DX11 would give you better results.
