i know i,am getting on a bit but could anybody advise me on the cost of the available downloads,it seems to be in a currency this old fart do,es not understand,many thanks Taffyeo

The downloads on this site are free to members like you.

Only advertised aircraft, scenery etc. cost whatever the designer charges.
Our "store" of course charges because they charge us.

OK, Flight itself is free, at the same time download the Stearman it's free after you complete a certain amount of lessons and missions (really easy).
The Maule and Alaska cost $ or points that MS sells.
What they did is give you the start of a game (not a simulator) and they will keep (if people buy the early downloads) make more add-on aircraft and scenery.
This way you can build yourself (eventually) to having the world if you want to pay for it piece by piece, you'll probably go broke and buy their bankruptcy software first. Laughing

Try the free stuff first and if you like it then buy some add-ons.

Hi thanks very much,i,ve got the freeby,and have flown and got free flight and the stearman,was impressed by scenery etc but confused by any follow -on ,so i have to purchase from MICROSOFTs web to expand this game.Can,t see this going very far.regards Mike

I don't blame you in the least. It's probably as far as I go for a game not a Sim.
