saving flights to my desktop

does anybody know how to save flights in fs2004 so i can watch them back on my computer and save like a files with all of my flights in??
can anyone please help as i have been into the fs2004 files and seen 2 video files but they wouldnt play or let me convert them?
so frustrated with this flight sim nothing is ever simple...
