I will never understand the mindset that MS programmers and designers have. The fact that a whole bunch of designers all said "Yeah, people want their view of where they're going either obstructed by huge, screen-filling 2D panels, they want to see the close-up of a headrest when looking around (which can't be turned off) and deal with a wobbly 3D panel which can't be seen unless the player has 7 arms" boggles the mind.

Realism is nice but not at the expense of an enjoyable experience.
