I have recently had a problem with the Nimitz carrier and have had the problem with numerous downloads. The problem is that every time that I launch the Nimitz, it becomes shrouded by a vertical cloud which makes it impossible to see when landing.
My operating system is now Windows 8.1, having updated from a non-genuine copy of win 7 Ultimate. Maybe Win 8.1 might cause this cloud but 8.1 is working perfectly with all other aspects of FSX.
It is a pity that I cannot attach a screen shot.[/img]
It may be from one of your weather add-ons.
See if you can adjust it in the weather control panel of that particular add-on that you are using.
This problem is peculiar to the Nimitz and its supporting ships only and does not manifest itself with any other AI shipping in FSX.
I am hoping to contact the author of the Nimitz to see if he has a solution for this problem.
When I was operating Win 7, I never had this cloud formation.
Would it be possible to attach an image within this page as problems like this are hard to describe. As they say, "A picture is worth a thousand words".
I understand your problem, the only other thing I can think of is that your video card isn't able to render the ship properly.
I doubt that the OS has anything to do with it.
A jpeg can only be attached here is the original site is hppts not htpp, in other words a secure site like this.
Flyaway is trying to keep malware off this site as best he can.
Was it the Nimitz downloaded from here:
We are in the process of including a new image upload feature to the forum. They will work like attachments to posts. In the meantime you can use the website here to show us a screenshot:
