I have had fs2004 for a while now and still have not used the microsoft patch. Is it worth downloading? Will it effect my add-ons? I have heard quite a few mixed reviews on the patch.

Quite a few of our members loaded it, I am among the few that didn't.
For what it gave me I decided that I didn't want to "play" with the different cfg's, sound, dll.'s changes.

I would recommend to use it. There are some improvements in performance and some "bugs" where corrected as well. See the posts on that matter by search. and

OK. I don't think I will though.

I'm not doing it either. They mention something about "RAM leaking" or something, which was my biggest concern, but with 2GB, i aint worried.

Well I gave it a try and found no memory leak and my frame rates doubled (from 35 to 72 in same location 😀 ) so no complaints from me. You can always make a restore point and revert if you don't like it. Ric 🙂
