This is a good post for installing aircraft:

For effects and textures, you just have to put them in the FS9 effects and textures folder.

This sonic boom is for the fighter jets, and it might work with the Concordes. Says it's easy to install.

Has any one tried to install Sonic Boom? I have had no success with it.
Is there something missing.
Thanks Art

If this is the file we're talking about ➡ http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=&Name=&FileName=RCBco-20.zip&Author=&CatID=root

...then you must really take your time and follow the instructions to the letter. Always make backups of your original files.

This is not a simple install if you're lacking practice or experience, but that's certainly no reason why you shouldn't try and succeed.

THIS IS AN INTERESTING FILE BUT IT HAS NO INSTRUCTIONS ON INSTALATION.

THE ONE I AM INQUIRING ABOUT IS CALLED "SONIC BOOM". IT'S LOCATED IN UTILITIES IN FLY AWAY'S DOWNLOAD SECTION. MY FRIENDS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM OF NOT BEING ABLE TO MAKE IT WORK. I ATTACHED THE FILE WHEN I ANSWERED THE WEBMASTER EMAIL.
THANK YOU FOR REPLYING

The only 'Sonic Boom' files I can see is one for CFS3 and this one for FS2002. instalacion

Install:
1) Unzip "sonic_bang.zip" into a temporary folder.
2) Move the contents of the "gauges" folder to the FS2002's "gauges" folder.
2) Move the contents of the "sound" folder to the FS2002's "sound" folder.
4) Add the following lines at the end of "[Window00]" into the panel.cfg pertaining to the plane you want hear the sonic bang:

gauge100=Cazas!Sonic_bang, 956,105,20,20
gauge101=XMLSoundv2!XMLv2-Sound, 1030,105,20,20

Be careful, the gauges number (gaugeXX) must be different to the other gauges.

Those instructions are crystal clear. Maybe there is an incompatibility issue because you're trying to install a file that was written for FS2002 into fs9?
