hi,
i used to live in the united states, but a few days ago, i moved over seas to saudi arabia. im only 13, but in my short 3 year stay in the US, i got a bunch of letters from a couple of colleges and universities,(john hancock, cambridge...etc. ) they wanted me to come and study with them in the summer, so that i could get an idea of their programs, to see if i would like to come their in 3 years, when im off to university. i just wanted to ask, now that i moved away from the public schools in the US, will they still allow me to come. I just wanted to know. I sent them a letter regarding this issue, and they have yet to reply. so if you live in or around the london area, or know anything about their "recruitment" please, dont hesitate to post. i really think it would be a wonderful oppurtunity, to go and study in such places. anyways, good luck to all of you, and once again, HAPPY FLYING.
p.s: i found out that to enjoy this im, you have to have a really good comp. fs9, fs2k2, and fs2000, all stink on my computer. i dont know how to find its specs exactly, but i can tell you this, i lowered EVERYTHING, from graphics to frame rate target, and still it stinks. nothing near proper terrain, like i used to have, and the performance......well, im not even going to get into that. 🙂
Hi,
You must be extremely intelligent to get a place there . Not sure whether you are familiar with the A Level system, but you have to have minimum 2 A's and 1 B, and an excellent CV, with lots of extra curricular activites on there.
What are you thinking of studying there? I'm sure they will allow you to study there as long as you pass the interview, and you can attend every day. I don't see a reason why not. Good Luck 😀
Sorry to hear about the computer problems.
Right click on "My Computer", click on properties and that'll tell you the simple specs.
Turn of everything you can (sliders to the left) so you can still fly without clouds, scenery etc.
Let us know how you do.
thanks 99jolegg. ill look into that.
as for my computer, well, there is not much i can do. it has 128mb of ram, and it says 47% free. now i dont exactly know how to translate that into good for sim, and bad for sim, but still, that was all i could dig up. it is a very old computer, so i really didnt expect something spectacular out of it. Who knows, some day, we may dig deep and buy ourselves another computer, but for now, i guess, ill just have to wait, and listen to all of your stories. its not so bad. HAPPY FLYING!!!
You have to shut down some of the programs running in the background, get some out of startup (msconfig) and clean off the 50 icons on the desktop to get some of that performance back.
Unless W98 has been on it for 3 years you should be able to easily get it back up to 75-90%.
You couldn't take your other computer with, bummer.
