The list of autopilot commands for the FS9 includes "CTRL+R" to
toggle between airspeed control and no airspeed control. However it does not work for me. When I let the autopilot fly the approach and hit "control + R" the nose will still drop when the plane reaches the glide slope. When the nose drops the airspeed increases, so I am making the approach at a "hot" airspeed. Then I use more runway trying to get slowed down.
Does this particular command really work, or am I doing something wrong??
Best thing to do is to have a look in the Control Assignments in FS9, so you can see what Cntrl + R is assigned to. It sounds like it is assigned to the alitutde on the AP but have a look. 😀
Thanks 99jolegg-- I will take a look at that. 😉
You have to arm the autothrottle before the command will work
