Thought it might be appropriate for tomorrow ( Saturday) - I will leave you to explain it all to our friends across the pond!!!
😀 Now thats a nice score 👍
How the hell do you explain the 6 nations? with its Grand slams and wooden spoons sorry dave
All I know is I will not be online Saturday as I will be joining the throng at the Millennium Stadium where 72,500 people(mostly Welsh) will be cheering and singing
I coundnt explain Rugby if I had a week to do it so have a look here,and do not say its like American Football 🙄 ➡
http://www.rbs6nations.com/splash.htm
The sound of 72000 people cheering and singing after downing large amounts of
just has to be heard
Dam I cant find a good quality audio file of the stadium in full voice so you will have to click here and sing along your self Its a MP3 so should play in anything and its only the 1st verse so repeat as required(its clean so you can just open it if you want)
Welsh and English versions
Mae hen wlad fy nhadau yn annwyl i mi,
Gwlad beirdd a chantorion, enwogion o fri;
Ei gwrol ryfelwyr, gwladgarwyr tra mad,
Tros ryddid gollasant eu gwaed.
Cytgan:
Gwlad, gwlad, pleidiol wyf i'm gwlad.
Tra mor yn fur i'r bur hoff bau,
O bydded i'r hen iaith barhau.
Hen Gymru fynyddig, paradwys y bardd,
Pob dyffryn, pob clogwyn i'm golwg sydd hardd;
Trwy deimlad gwladgarol, mor swynol yw si
Ei nentydd, afonydd, i mi.
Os treisiodd y gelyn fy ngwlad tan ei droed,
Mae hen iaith y Cymry mor fyw ag erioed,
Ni luddiwyd yr awen gan erchyll law brad.
Na thelyn berseiniol fy ngwlad.
===================================================
(This is not a literal translation of the Welsh)
The land of my fathers, the land of my choice,
The land in which poets and minstrels rejoice;
The land whose stern warriors were true to the core,
While bleeding for freedom of yore.
Chorus:
Wales! Wales! fav'rite land of Wales!
While sea her wall, may naught befall
To mar the old language of Wales.
Old mountainous Cambria, the Eden of bards,
Each hill and each valley excite my regards;
To the ears of her patriots how charming still seems
The music that flows in her streams.
My country tho' crushed by a hostile array,
The language of Cambria lives on to this day;
The muse has eluded the traitors' foul knives,
The harp of my country survives.
If we win,I will wake up Sunday with a sore head and if we loose................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................I will still have a sore head
Yes TTT - I think you have just made a muddy pond, muddier 😂
Being a Scot - I am neutral - I don't care who beats England 😛
But - how do you explain all this Celtic fervour - the MP3 and the beer labels should help.
I'll be with you in spirit in front of the TV 😳 😳
COME ON ENGLAND
Anyone got a silent keyboard
Not the best of games,but a great win,followed by a great night out in Cardiff 🍻 and 🍻 and a few more 🍻
Scotland were very unlucky(I saw most of that game and thought they were home and dry)
Today its Ireland V Italy,so come on Ireland

😂 About as Welsh as you can get(well they have got sheep in New Zealand 😉
😉
Expected better from you DaveC ! ! !
PH is 100% correct, the Ref (although now of NZ citizenship) was born in the Rhondda !
Now come on, let's show the nice international community what a united and brotherly nation we are.... I love Welsh and Scottish people - I just can't eat them whole.
😉
