Problem adding new aircraft

I am new to downloading FS2004 files. Can someone help me figure out what I am doing incorrectly when downloading aircraft?

First - I download a file, let's say the A340 for example. It downloads onto my desktop as a zip file.

Second - I extract the files.

Third - Then I copy the model, panel, sound and texture files to the aircraft directory of the Flight Simulator in Windows Explorer.

Fourth - Next, I launch Flight Simulator 2004 and click on the drop down menu to see if it is added to the aircraft list....to my frustration the new downloaded aircraft is not there!

Please help.

Thanks!

When you copy the model, panel, sound and texture, make sure they are in a folder called something like A340

All the files must be in a "aircraft folder"

So if you open the folder A340 it should contain the model, texture and other folders
